Restaurant Review: Enchanted Garden, Disney Dream

Restaurant Review: Enchanted Garden, Disney Dream

Restaurant: Enchanted Garden

Location: Disney Dream, Disney Cruise Line

Dining Plans: N/A

Type of Food: Fresh and seasonal

We ate at Enchanted Garden on our last night aboard the Disney Dream. According to Disney Enchanted Garden serves up a market style menu inspired by the gardens of Versailles.  I am going to be honest, I have no idea what that means!

The decor is this restaurant is stunning – its like a cute little garden. I loved the fountain by the main entrance.

To start I had the Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower. The tuna was so fresh and full of flavour. The avocado was a bit too much, normally I think avocado is flavourless but here it was actually a little overpowering. It didn’t ruin the dish but did take away from the amazing tuna.

My husband ordered the lobster ravioli. We had actually been to watch how they make this earlier in the day.  As you would expect this was really rich. The tomato broth was a bit thin but the ravioli was filled with lobster.

I will admit I ordered really badly here. Normally I am not a fan of roasted chicken so I have no idea why I ordered it. As you may guess, I wasnt a fan. There wasn’t really anything wrong with it, just not my taste.

I should have gone with what my husband ordered, the pan seared sea bass. This was a huge piece of fish. I was cooked perfectly, it flaked when yo tried to eat it but was moist and flavourful.

There is something amazing about restaurants on a Disney Cruise, if you want two you can have two! I was totally stuck between what desserts I wanted and my server brought me both.

This is dessert one – Apple Cinnamon Crunch Sundae. Not really much to say, its a sundae!

Dessert number 2 is the sweet temptations sampler.  Sacher Torte, Strawberry Cheesecake and Esterházy Cake. All good but nothing special. My husband had a large version of the Esterhazy Cake and also thought it was just okay.

Overall this was my least favourite restaurant on the Disney Dream. It wasn’t a bad restaurant but I ordered badly and the food was just okay. It didnt really have any standout items like the other restaurants on the ship. If you are going to miss one of the main dining rooms this would be the one to miss.
