On my way to work this morning I was looking on Pinterest for vintage style bathroom ideas. Such a sucker for subway tiles and weirdly patterned tiles floors. Somehow, I ended up on the Disney Tourist Blog reading this post about their top 10 Disney Bucket List. How come that always happens on the internet, start up looking at one thing and ending up somewhere else on the web and have no idea how you got there?
The post got me thinking, what are my ultimate Disney Bucket list items? Would I make the list things I know that I can achieve or go completely wild with things I know will never happen? After much internal debate that has taken me my entire lunch break, I think the final list is somewhere in the middle.
Visit Every Park in the World
Is it wrong to put something on the list that I know I will achieve? Maybe, but I don’t care. If everything goes to plan by the end of 2018 we will have experienced every Disney Park Around the World. Wow! While this may not seem like a big deal to some, it really is to me. A real dream come true.
Eat at Club 33, Disneyland
Surely this is a dream of every Disney park fan? It is such an iconic location. Unfortunately I don’t see this one happening as I am not very good at making friends especially not rich Club 33 member friends. This has so little chance of happening that I am not even going to consider adding the other locations to the list including the not even built Walt Disney World location. Although saying that, I wouldnt turn down an invite to them.
Visit Walt’s Apartment
2018 will be the year that we visit Disneyland for the first time and the parks history has been a huge driving force behind planning the trip. To walk in Walt’s footsteps (see what I did there?, well done Lisa, big pat on the back!) will be spectacular. Out of everything I expect to experience at Disneyland, this is the one I am most excited about.
Visit the Walt Disney Family Museum
Sorry but this is another one that I already have in the planning. We are visiting San Francisco this year and have plans to visit this museum. So far it seems like the title should be changed from Disney Ultimate Bucket List to Things Lisa is going to do in 2018 plus Club 33 where she is never going to go. Anyways, The Walt Disney Family Museum is actually one of my favourite items on my list. Walt’s life amazes me and I would love to learn more about the man who dreamed it all.
Dine at Every Walt Disney World Restaurant
It comes as no surprise that I love food especially Disney food. We have crossed off quite a few restaurants but have many more to try. While trying to tick this one off I may have to visit some old favorites. For some of those favorites I might even add another bucket list item to try every item on the menu!
Sail on an inaugural Disney Cruise line sailing
I have no idea why I want to do this, possible just to say I have. The I can be one of those people on message boards who claim they know everything because they were on the first sailing. With a few new ships on the way this I could possibly make this one a reality.
Get the top score on Buzz Lightyear
Somehow over the past few years my score have been getting worse and worse. It just not on and I need to up my game, any tips? Look at my concentration on my face and I still lost!
See a Disney Broadway Show in NYC
Despite having visited New York several times, I have never managed to see a Disney show on Broadway. Actually, I have never viewed a show during any of my vacations. Currently I could go and see both Aladdin and Lion King in London but its just not the same. And, I need an excuse to go to New York again.
See the Goodnight Kiss
After the park closes, Magic Kingdom likes to say a little goodbye to its guests. I refuse to watch it on YouTube so not exactly sure what it looks like but I do know its magical. One day I will see it. Out of everything on this list, this is probably the easiest to do. All I have to do is stay in the park once its shut! In reality it may take me a little longer as we currently have no plans to visit Walt Disney World again until 2020!
Stay in a Polynesian Bungalow
Back in 2015, we joined the Disney Vacation Club. Our home resort is the Polynesian and it is my absolute favourite of all the Disney resorts. I just love how the bungalows sit out over the water, they look so beautiful and I would absolutely love to use my points to stay in one. Is it going to happen? Honestly cant see it. We didn’t buy nearly enough points and booking a night in the Bungalow would use almost a full year’s points.
