Hidden Gem Restaurants at Walt Disney World

Havent booked an ADR but still want a great quality meal? These hidden gem restaurants at Disney are just what you are looking for

Believe it or not there are still some hidden gem restaurants at Walt Disney World. These days planning at trip to Walt Disney World is all about trying to bag that elusive Be Our Guest reservation or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train fastpass. It can feel like everything needs to be planned months in advance for you to even have a hint of a good trip.

If you need a break from all that planning and just want somewhere you can book the night before or even on the day then this list is for you. All of my favourite hidden gems at Disney are very easy to get a table at and can often be booked on the day.

Captains Grille – Yacht and Beach Club

As you enter the lobby of the yacht and Beach Club, Captains Grille is just to the left. If you come in from the boat dock its on the right. Guests can enjoy a range of fresh seafood dishes include the fish of the day. Don’t worry if fish is not your thing, they also do some pretty amazing steak’s! If you cant eat anywhere else on my list, try and make sure you visit Captains Grille – one of the true hidden gem restaurants at Disney.

Artists Point – Wilderness Lodge

Artists Point is a signature restaurant over at Wilderness Lodge. Guests of the restaurant can enjoy so many wonderful dishes here – if you are brave try the boar! My ultimate favourite is the salmon. For some reason this signature does not get booked up as quickly as the others but trust me that is not a reflection on the quality.

Last time we visited we had the most amazing server – Donald. I really hope he is still there and we get him again in October.

Even if you don’t eat at Artists Point, take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge from Magic Kingdom and spend some time in the grounds and stick around to see the geyser blow!

Olivia’s – Old Key West

Old Key West was the first ever Disney Vacation Club Resort. In actual fact its original name was the Disney Vacation Club Resort .  Located just a few feet away from the boat dock is Olivia’s, the only table service restaurant in the resort. The entry way is with photographs of Disney Vacation Club members all enjoying the beautiful resort.

Home cooked is the theme this place is going for. Lots of freshly cooked comfort food. Perfect place to spend a relaxing meal with the family. Make sure you try the crabcakes!
