Disney have thrown us a little curve ball today and released free dining before anyone expected. Technically its not a full release until the 6th but the offer is available to pre book just now. Your booking will be confirmed after the 6th April once the offer is officially released.
What you need to know
Free dining is available for bookings made between 30/03/2017 and 06/07/2017. In order to be eligible for the offer you need to book a minimum of 5 nights at any of the participating Disney Hotels and your booking must include park tickets for all guests.
Value Hotels – The free breakfast offer returns again at the value resorts. This gives each member of your party one quick service credit per night. The great thing about this is that you can actually use the credit at any quick service restaurant and for any meal, not just breakfast. For the first time ever Art of Animation has been included in this offer. Other hotels in this category include Pop Century and the All Star Resorts.
Moderate Hotels – Hotels that fall into the moderate category, come with the free quick service plan. The quick service plan is great if your family are not big into table service meals and like spending more time on the rides. The quick service plan includes two quick service meals per day and 2 snacks per day. Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside, Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs are the hotels in this category.
Deluxe Hotels – If you stay at one of Disney’s deluxe resorts then you will get the free table service plan included with your stay. The table service plan includes one table service meal, one quick service meal and 2 snacks for each night you stay onsite. This plan is great for lovers of character meals and signature dining. Examples of hotels in this category include Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk Inn and Wilderness Lodge.
What else is included
The Free Dining isn’t the only thing Disney is giving away for free. Each booking also includes a $200 Disney gift card that can be used for almost anything onsite and a 12 month subscription to DisneyLife. The tickets that come with the booking include free Disney Memory Maker and you also get a 15% discount code for the Disney Store UK.
Benefits of Staying Onsite
Being a guest at Disney hotel comes with lots of benefits
- Disney Magical Express – Complimentary transport to and from MCO to your WDW Hotel
- Extra Magic Hours – Extra hours that the parks are open just for WDW Hotel Guests
- Free Parking – there is free parking at all the parks and hotels for onsite guests
- Fastpass+ at 60 Days – onsite guest get to book their faspasses 30days before offsite guests
Where to Book
My personal recommendation for booking Walt Disney World vacations would always be to book via Disney Direct. Booking direct means you get the best cancellation and amendment policy that I have found out of all UK suppliers. Disney offers a low deposit booking option of £50pp for Hotel and Ticket bookings. There is also the benefit of being able to go straight to Disney to make any amendments or if you need any help. Booking with a third party often means that you have to go via them to make changes or get assistance. Often this can be time consuming and more costly that if you had booked direct.
If you have any questions please let me know? I think the Dining Plan is a great offer for UK visitors and I am happy to help anyone unsure about booking
